      Research Direction:

    • Programmed cell death (PCD), unlike apparently accidental cell death, refers to a cell death process that is genetically regulated. PCD is critically involved in growth, development, and homeostasis in a large variety of specific situations. Thus, understanding the biochemical mechanisms and implications of PCD under physiological or pathological situations can help us to intervene or cure diseases caused by suppressed or overactivated cell death, like killing tumor, preventing infectious disease, or neurodegeneration, ect.
