Vice Chancellor Hon Steve Maharey from Massey University Visited IGDB

Hon Steve Maharey, Vice Chancellor of Massey University, New Zealand, accompanied by Michael O'Shaughnessy, Director International Relations of International Office, visited IGDB on March 19. Mr. SUN Hui, Head of the Division of American and Oceanian Affairs of the Bureau of International Cooperation CAS, also joint the meeting. Dr. XU Weihua, Deputy Directors of the institute, hosted the visit.

Dr. XU Weihua delivered a brief introduction of the institute to the visitors. Then, the further collaboration on the Joint Research Centre for Sheep Breeding and Developmental Biology was discussed between the Massey University and IGDB. The joint research center was established in 2010. Both parties hoped to renew the collaboration agreement for more progresses. Moreover, some other institutions with excellent research on sheep breeding are welcomed to join the research center in the near future.
