IGDB Scientists Found the Mechanism of Xylan Deacetylation and Its Function in Rice

The group of Prof. ZHOU Yihua and the group of Prof. CHU Chengcai from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, recently reported that a GDSL protein functions as xylan deacetylase, which regulates the acetyl-ester profile on xylan and affects secondary wall patterning and agronomic traits in rice.
