The State Key Laboratory of Plant Genomics (SKLPG) held its 2008 annual meeting on February 5, 2009. The meeting was chaired by Academician Jiayang Li (Chair of Scientific Advisory Committee, SAB), Academician Weihua Wu and Prof Yongbiao Xue (Associate Chairs of SAB). Director of SKLPG (Academician Rongxiang Fang), Deputy Directors (Prof Jianru Zuo, Prof Xiaofeng Cao and Prof Yuxian Zhu), SAB members (Academician Zhihong Xu, Prof Shouyi Chen, Prof Bin Han, Prof Yaoguang Liu, Prof Qian Qian, Prof Kong Chong, Prof Jianming Zhou and Prof Lihuang Zhu), and all group leaders attended the meeting.
Academician Rongxiang Fang, Director of SKLPG, reported to the meeting on progresses of the Laboratory during the past year and highlighted major plans in 2009. Group leaders, Prof Zhukuang Chen, Prof Chuanyou Li, Prof Chaozu He, Prof Jianru Zuo, Prof Jiayang Li, Prof Chengcai Chu, Prof Qi Xie, Prof Mingsheng Chen, Prof Xiujie Wang, Prof Xiaofeng Cao, Prof Huishan Guo, Prof Rongxiang Fang and Prof Zhen Zhu, reported their progresses in 2008.
Based on these reports, SAB appropriated progresses made by the Laboratory, and provided constructive suggestions to the Laboratory and the group leaders on both scientific research and management.
