Dr. Florian Maderspacher, Senior Reviews Editor of Current Biology, visited IGDB in the morning of October 10, 2011. Dr. Yongqing Zhang, Deputy Director of IGDB, hosted his visit. Dr. Maderspacher made a presentation on how to get a paper published. Afterwards, several faculties of our institute introduced their research work to Dr. Maderspacher. Dr. Maderspacher also visited the editorial office of Journal of Genetics and Genomics. All parties frankly discussed various topics on academic research and publication both in and outside of China. Dr. Maderspacher’s visit will encourage submissions of papers to Current Biology from the faculties in our institute.
