H.E. Mr. Porhemmat, Vice Minister for Research, Training and Promotion of Agriculture of Iran, accompanied by Mr. Shahpari, Director of the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute, and Mr. Tavoli, First Secretary of the Economic Section of the Embassy of Iran, visited IGDB on August 15. Drs. YANG Weicai and XU Weihua, Deputy Directors of the institute, as well as Drs. CAO Xiaofeng and WANG Daowen from the institute took part in the meeting. 

Dr. XU Weihua gave a brief introduction of the Chinese Academy of Sciences first. Dr. YANG Weicai introduced visitors the organization and recently research progress of IGDB. Then, the possible collaborations, especially the agricultural water saving and crop improvement, were discussed between Iran and IGDB. Both parties hoped to establish a collaboration partnership on academic exchanges.
